Craig. By Respondek - Second Edition - A 120 page coffee table book featuring images of Craig Anderson - $30 AUD - (Approx $22 USD)
'Craig. By Respondek - Second edition' is part 3.5 in a series of independent photography essays by John Respondek. (120 page book)
This 120-page photo collection follows where the first edition left off and delivers fresh images of Craig Anderson into the artform of print. This second edition showcases Craig’s pivotal moments, whilst also revealing the authentic in-between bits and pieces, all bound together in mustard yellow trimmings.
During my existence as a surf photographer, I have had the opportunity to work with a whole bunch of professional surfers. Over the years, I have become great friends with a few, such as Chippa Wilson, Craig Anderson, Taj Burrow, Dion Agius, and pals. These days I work and travel with these guys almost exclusively.
In turn, my photo library of them is extensive, and although we have experienced a bunch of published success in editorial exposure and advertising campaigns, there’s still so much imagery that deserves a chance to shine. It’s great to have the opportunity to catalogue these into a complete and tangible art piece for people to enjoy.
Due to high demand at launch, please allow up to 2-3 weeks shipping Australia and 2-4 weeks for shipping USA.
PAPER QUALITY / PRINTING TECHNIQUES :
ARCHIVAL PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTS:
I use exhibition quality Kodak Endura paper on my Gloss and Matt finish prints, and I print on a Durst Epsilon printer. It prints onto true photographic paper using light, not ink, at 254 dpi.
KODAK PROFESSIONAL ENDURA - Premier Metallic Paper has the distinctive, attention-getting, glossy finish and metallic appearance that will draw all eyes. This Paper helps create striking, some say "glamorous," prints with exceptional visual interest and depth with an appealing and dramatic look. Matt or Lustre paper has a unique artistic feel. It reduces any reflection and can bring out interesting aspects of an image.
GICLEE FINE ARTS CANVAS PRINTS:
The term “Giclée Print” (pronounced zhee-clay) refers to an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are printed with archival quality Ultrachrome pigment based K3 inks onto canvas and smooth or textured fine art paper. The Epson Stylus Pro 9900 & 11 880 large-format printer produces stunning inkjet prints that are widely used for exhibitions, display and decorative purposes. A premium acid free canvas with a pure white tone that has been specially developed for professionals who demand a product capable of producing precise images with very high resolution. In addition to offering outstanding water resistance, this canvas stretches and mounts with ease. The canvas will not yellow, crack or curl and is an ideal choice for a variety of applications including portraiture and fine art photography. Stretching for hanging and display is available on canvas prints.
